BUK Screening Date and Procedure for Fresh Students, 2017/2018

This is to notify all newly admitted undergraduate students that screening has now been postponed from 27th December 2017 to 2nd January 2018.


All candidates who have been offered provisional admission into the Bayero University, Kano (BUK) to study any of it’s offered undergraduate programmes are informed that the management has commenced the payment of acceptance fee.

The Buk acceptance fee for the 2017/2018 academic session is five Thousand Naira Only (N5,000).

This is to inform all the candidates offered provisional admission into the Bayero University, Kano (BUK) undergraduate programmes for the 2017/2018 academic session, that the management of the institution has released the admission acceptance fee payment procedure for the 2017/2018 academic session.

BUK Acceptance Fee Payment Guidelines

Step 1: Before you pay your acceptance fee, make sure you have collected or printed your admission letter.

Step 2: Go to the remita website platform for making payment via www.remita.net


Step 4: After you’ve clicked on the pay a federal…., there would be a displayed NAME OF MDA, Type Bayero and select BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO –

Step 5: After you’ve selected BAYERO UNIVERSITY as MDA, there would be a drop down box asking you

Step 6: After you’ve carefully selected UG ACCEPTANCE FEE for purpose of service, the acceptance fee of N5000.00 would be displayed.

You will be requested to type on your JAMB Reg No, Your full name, Your email and your phone number.

Make sure you don’t make any single mistake while typing this. And any data typed in (e.g name, phone number, email) should be for the payer paying for his acceptance fee.

Step 7: I would advise you to check all over what you’ve typed before submitting. Make sure your name is correctly spelt and arranged as required and your other details are correct. After that, you can click on the button PROCEED TO PAYMENT.

Step 8: After you’ve generated tut RRR number, print out your Remita invoice immediately.

Step 9: Take the printed remita invoice to any commercial bank near to your location to make payment. You can also lay online via the channels available.

Step 10: After making payment (either online or at the bank) , go back to remita.net and print out your Remita Payment Receipt.

Step 11: If you pay at the Bank, you are to go along with your remita receipt and bank teller to the academic office of the Bayero University, Kano as part of your screening.

I hope you understand all that have been explained. If you follow all these stated steps carefully, you would have no problem whatsoever.

If you intend paying your BUK acceptance fee yourself at the cyber cafe, I would advise you to go wiyh your phone; open this page and follow the steps accordingly.

(1) Registration means paying the appropriate registration fees AND REGISTERING FOR COURSES.

(2) Senate has directed that any student who fails to register within the specified time has to apply for

the Suspension of Studies for the Session within two weeks. Those who fail to apply for Suspension of Studies within that time would be considered withdrawn from the University.

(3) The Senate decision will be strictly enforced. YOU HAVE BEEN INFORMED IN ADVANCE!

(4) All undergraduate students should submit their Course Registration Form (CRF) not more than three (3) weeks after registration to the Level Coordinator.
